Map your AI governance gap

You can hold every certificate and still lack the one thing institutions ask to rely on.

Four rooms judge your AI: the customers who buy it, the insurers who price it, the board that stands behind it, and the investors who back it. Each reaches for a different framework. Map yourself against them, then see the gap they all leave.

Start here

Who is asking you for AI governance evidence?

This maps which frameworks apply to you and the gap they leave. It does not score you, and a DSI 001 result is issued only by an assessor authorised by Decision Standards Institute under the DSI 001 scheme. Select the rooms you are facing, and add your sector to sharpen it. Nothing here is recorded.

The pattern

Look at what every one of them does, and does not, give you.

Run the frameworks together and the shape is the same. Each one certifies your organisation, describes a process, or sets a legal bar. Useful, and expected. But not one of them returns an independent, comparable result for the specific system in question.

You can pass all of them and still have nobody able to say, from the outside, how well one deployment is actually governed.

The answer

DSI 001 is the read the others leave out.

It does not replace anything above. It adds the one thing the four rooms keep asking for and cannot get from a certificate, a process or a law: an outside assessment of a single deployment, on a scale they can all read.

Independent

Someone who did not build it

The assessment is performed by an authorised assessor, who did not design, sell or operate the system, and does not also carry its risk.

Comparable

One scale, every room

The result is a Governance Benchmark Index figure, the same measure a procurement team, an underwriter, a board and an investor can each read.

Deployment-level

The system, not the org chart

It speaks to how one specific system is governed, where the certificates above sit at the level of the whole organisation.

It works the way an independent audit does, against its own published method. The frameworks describe the landscape. DSI 001 is the outside, deployment-level read the landscape does not give you.

What this page is, and is not

This page produces orientation only: it shows which frameworks apply to you and the gap they leave. It is not an assessment, does not score you, and does not produce a DSI 001 result. A DSI 001 result is issued only by an assessor authorised by Decision Standards Institute under the DSI 001 scheme, against the published methodology, and it does not determine legal compliance, regulatory approval, insurability or creditworthiness. It is an input to those decisions. Framework references are point in time and should be checked against primary sources.

See where an independent result would change the conversation.

If more than one of those rooms is already asking, the gap is the thing to close first.

An assessment is performed by an authorised assessor. The standard, the Governance Benchmark Index and the public register are published and maintained by Decision Standards Institute.
