Verify a result
A DSI 001 result is only useful to a reliance party if it can be confirmed as genuine and current. This page explains how to verify a result, and what the public register shows.
How verification works
Every DSI 001 result is issued by an assessor authorised by Decision Standards Institute under the DSI 001 scheme and carries a result identifier, the issuing assessor, the assessed system and scope, the tier, the issue date and the validity window.
To verify a result, check the identifier against the public register, or contact the Institute at enquiries@decision-standards-institute.org. You can also confirm a result directly with the assessor that issued it.
A figure that is self-scored, indicative, or not tied to an assessor authorised under the DSI 001 scheme and a result identifier is not a DSI 001 result, however it is presented.
What a register entry shows
For each result, the register records the issuing assessor, the assessed system and scope, the classification tier, the issue date, the validity window, and the current status: current, expired, or withdrawn. The register shows the existence and currency of a result. It does not publish the underlying assessment, the dimensional detail or the evidence.
Reliance windows
A result is current only within its window. Assessed carries a 60-day reliance window. Compliant is valid for 12 months. Certified runs a 24-month cycle, with mandatory interim surveillance at 12 months.
The register today
The register lists DSI 001 results as they are issued. It reflects the results in force at any time, and is updated as results are issued, expire or are withdrawn.
